Kings College London
Hub for Neuropsychiatry Imaging Research and Therapeutics
UKRPIF award: £10 million
Officially opened: Summer 2017
The hub is located across two King’s College London facilities: the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute and the Positron Emission Tomography Imaging Centre.
The UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF) award enabled the institute to procure and install a range of imaging equipment to support ground-breaking molecular, cellular, animal and human research to advance knowledge of disease mechanisms, reveal new avenues for therapy and test innovative therapeutics.
As well as the UKRPIF award, the project secured over £30m co-investment, including from the Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
