This project is supporting an open innovation approach and drawing on partnerships across universities, NHS and business to advance clinical research and medical innovation focused on improving health in old age. Through establishing a UK-wide network, the project will accelerate the development of new and affordable therapies which overcome the generic processes driving ageing and age-related diseases.
The project intends to build a multi-lateral Knowledge Exchange (KE) network leveraging the combined multi-disciplinary expertise and strengths of its partners to collaborate to accelerate and create new knowledge exchange mechanisms. The project aims to help pharmaceutical companies develop new medicines for patients and create many more new companies and new high skilled jobs.
